Review-$1 Eleylash Curler from Elf at Target

My old eyelash curler finally broke on me, so when I was at Target the other day I decided to give this one a try. It is made by the brand ELF, which means eyes*lips*face, and is $1. Most of elf's products are only $1 but some of them are sets with multiple items from $3-$5. I have tried elf in the past from their online store, and really do like their makeup so I decided to try this.  First let me say that my eyelashes are short and BLONDE, so this is a necessary item in my makeup bag! I really like the feel of this product in my hands, it feels very sturdy for a product that is  $1. I usually use the Revlon one, and I like this one much better. I have been using this one for over a week now, everyday, and have yet to "pinch" my eyelids, which was a daily occurrence with my other one. It has a great "spring" kind of action so that it doesn't just close on you until you are ready with your lashes properly placed in the clamp. I really like the result as well, nice curled lashes that last. So, for the money, you can't go wrong with the ELF Eyelash Curler.

Cute Hair Bow Holder Tutorial

Found this awesome tutorial on how to create a really cute hair bow holder on http://www.u-createcrafts.com/. Hope you enjoy!! I will post pics of the one I create when I get around to it! This is perfect for all your bows or your little girl's.

{created by Nannygoat}:

I went to Goodwill on a mission:
To find the funkiest frame I could find...

Hello?!! FOUND IT!
A little glossy turquoise spray paint please.

Oh my goodness, I love those details.
Okay, this frame would look fabulous on anything but I have something particular in mind.

Flip the frame over and measure ribbon to stretch from top to bottom with a little extra and hot glue (I'd use a staple gun if your frame is made of wood) the ribbon, evenly spaced (mine are about 2 inches apart) to the top.
Then, when the glue is dry, glue it (or staple it) straight to the bottom of the frame. Let dry and finally, attach all of those little girly hair bows that are floating around your house
Seriously, so easy my friends.

WA LA, you have a "funky bow holder thingy".
It's like art with a purpose... I love multi-tasking!
Ooooh, I just had another idea...
Oh my goodness, I'm off to Goodwill, I need another funky frame quick!

Happy crafting!

I'm in love! One n' Only Argan Oil Review

I have heard a lot about Moroccan oil and the effects of it when used on your hair and decided to try it myself. I chose One n' Only Argan Oil, which I purchased at Sally Beauty Supply for around $3.00, through an online promotion. It can be purchased regularly at Sally Beauty Supply for around $10.00. Don't let the price scare you away from giving this a try, a little goes a LOOONNNGGG way! I love this product!!

My hair has a tendency to be very frizzy and dry, but when I used this product on my damp hair, it made it much more manageable and gave it lots of shine. I will warn you, however, if you have oily hair or very vine hair you will want to use this product sparingly and ONLY on the ends of your hair! If you get this product to far up on your hair, like on the scalp, it will give your hair an oily appearance so make sure you use a dime sized amount in your hand and only apply to the ends, then comb through.

I also tried this on my little girl who has curly hair that has a tendency to "poof," and this product really helped to "shape" her curls and made it much easier to comb through her hair after bath time! There is a smell to this product, almost tropical, so if you are smell sensitive this may not work for you. It can also be used on dry hair, but I prefer to use it on damp/towel dried hair before styling. Would be great for curly hair to help shape the curls better, but also worked amazingly for my straight blow dried hair!

Revamp!!!

I have taken a break from my blog, due to the delivery of my beautiful baby boy, but I am back! I have decided to revamp my site! I still enjoy a good deal, but my passion is really for all things hair and crafts! I want to let others in on some of the great little secrets and products for hair that I have learned and come across while working with my own hair as well as many others! I am going to do reviews of products that I am currently trying, as well as things I have tried and loved,  and the things I don't love. If there is anything you would like me to review for you or show you how to do, please feel free to ask. I am also going to be posting some great crafting projects here as well. I really hope you join me on this fun journey!!
