Huge Hair Trend, FLOWERS!!

The hot trend right now in hair is flowers! Wether it is on a clip, headband, bobby pin, or just stuck in, everyone is adding a little flower power to their hairstyles! A flower can add a little touch of chic to any do. By just adding a flower, or bow for that matter, you can take a ponytail to a chic updo.

This is personally one of my favorite trends! I really like the idea of having the beachy waves, so popular for the summer, and a bright flower sweeping the hair up on one side. This gives you a great summer look with little effort.

Samantha Schuerman, one of my favorite youtube beauty gurus, always has one in her hair. She does makeup/hair tutorials and reviews, and really shows how by just adding a hair accessory you can turn any do into an "updo."

Click: here for her youtube video about one of her favorite hair flower ladies!

One of her "go-to" hair flower ladies is Laynie Bug Designs by Melissa Blair. Here is the link to her facebook page. She has some really amazing flowers for your hair! I really like all the rosette headbands, so many chic colors and patterns! The satin flowers are so elegant and charming and would really add some drama to any hairstyle.

I really like to have a little volume in the crown and throw on a flower that is on a headband to really look polished. So wether you have a ponytail, a bun, straight hair, curly hair, wear it up or down, add a little flower to your hair for a huge impact!!

What Hair Product I am Loving at the Moment!

What am I loving right now? The Sauve Professionals Dry Shampoo. If you are like me, I only wash my hair about every 3 days to keep it from drying out, or are a busy mommy who rarely has time to wash your hair, than this is gonna be great for you!! This helps absorb the excess oil in your hair.

This is also great for the summer trend of beachy waves, which usually look better the second day. You can use this to give volume at the root, and not ruin your waves. I even apply this right after I wash and blow dry to give my hair a little "root-boost."

Just make sure you hold the can the right distance away from your scalp, you don't want to over concentrate the product in one spot. Also, this product does have a strong scent so if you are sensitive to smell this might not be the best product for you.

I received a free Suave product coupon by mail and this is the product I picked, and I will definitely be purchasing this in the future!

Beauty Uses for Olive Oil! Inexpensive and effective.

Ways to Use Olive Oil

1) Makeup Removal- If your run out of your favorite makeup remover or want a more natural alternative, give olive oil a try! Use it at night and it leaves a thin layer of oil to nourish your skin all night long. Just dab a cotton ball into a small amount and wipe away even the toughest makeup.

2) Shaving Cream- For removing unwanted hair from your arms and legs, or anywhere you would use shaving cream, just apply some olive oil and glide the razor for a smoother shave. Shaving helps exfoliate the skin and get rid of superfluous hair and the olive oil will nourish and lubricate it.

3)Chapped Lips- For dry chapped lips, apply a little olive oil over them. It is edible and will help heal and lubricate your lips.

4)Dry Brittle Nails- If your nails are dry and brittle, just soak them in a cup of olive oil and they will be strengthened and moisturized. If your nails are stained add a few drops of lemon juice to the olive oil.

5)Exfoliator- For soft, touchable skin mix a cup of sugar, a 1/2 cup of olive oil (for runnier consistency), and a teaspoon of vanilla extract (for help covering olive oil smell) and use this mixture as an exfoliator in the shower. If you want a thicker scrub, use less olive oil.

6)Sea Salt Hair Scrunching Spray- This is by far my favorite use for olive oil!
Empty Spray Bottle
Water
½ or ¾ of teaspoon Olive Oil
1 tablespoon of Sea Salt
½ teaspoon of Non-Aerosol hairspray or Lemon juice
Just mix all ingredients and shake bottle well until salt is dissolved. The oil will add shine to your hair and bounce to your hair, the seasalt is what does the drying out to make the waves, and the lemon juice provides hold.
Be careful because lemon juice can cause lightening of the hair when in the sun.

There are so many uses for olive oil, and these are just a few of the great ways you can add them to your beauty routine!!
